I found this piece of showcase hard because we had to choose a national library book and search for peace makers and we had to make a presentation. My next step is to get more information from the book.
Today was the exciting because I finally got my Peer Mediation certificate after 10 weeks every mondays after our practises we had to go out to the playground and solve problems or give out cards to people who are using one of the school value's.
I am really proud of my self because I am finally a Peer mediator.
I found this peace of writing easy because we had to choose a tittle from the board and we had to make our own story by using speech marks and a punctuation.
MY REFLECTION
I was learning to match decimals with fractions. I found it easy because we had to match the fraction and the decimals with the picture. Next time I could put them in order and try a harder fraction work.
Term 2 week 5 we finished our bike skill program. We've learnt some interesting skills on our bikes like, scoot & mount, scoot, standing up riding, ride slow, and riding and indicate. My favourite skill was riding slow because we had to ride with balance and try not fall off.
On Monday 25 May some people went to Netball field day at Loyed Ellsomer Netball courts. First when we got there we had to get into our groups and then we went for our first game and I was so scared because I thought I wouldn't be able to play. What I really enjoyed was when I got 12 goals.
I found this piece of writing easy because all I had to do was write about some where I've been camping. Then we had to write a poster to persuade people to come to that camp.
The whole class was doing there's about camp M.E.R.C and I was doing mine about Rangitoto
I found this piece of maths hard because I didn't count the fraction pieces properly. I thought they were sixths. When I counted again I found there was 10.
Next time I could practise more and become better.
I was learning to use different types of paint skills. I learnt to do stipple, drag, sponge and card print. I found it easy to do stipple but I found it tricky to cut out my Rangitoto to stick on afterwards. I enjoyed this art work and I am proud of what I have done.
I was learning to answer questions about a story I had read. I had to go back to the text to find some answers and for others I had to think by myself. I needed help with some of the critical thinking questions. I must remember to write complete answers.
I found this piece of art interesting because first when Mrs Walker showed us I was so nervous because I thought I couldn't do it. Then when Mrs Walker sent us away to do it I was still a little scared.
Then when she told us all the instructions and we started doing it and when I started it I felt so amazing because I did all the art. What I found hard was sponge because I used too much paint and I didn't know how much paint to use.
I am proud of my self because I never thought I would get a certificate and when my name called out that I had a certificate I was so exited. And I heard my friends name called out then my name called called out to.
I was learning to find different ways to make 102. To do this I used different calculation methods: adding, subtracting and multiplying. I found it easy to add but harder to do rounding. Next time I should try to use a division. This work help me understand numbers better.
At class I've been doing a Kennings poem. What I found difficult was how to upload the photo on the google doc. Next time I could try to add more interesting words about my self. I will use a thesaurus and ask a buddy.
My name is Mahdia and I go to Elm Park School in Auckland. I am doing a blog because I can post my homework an the other stuff like popplet, showme and puppet pals. I like riding on ponies and walking on the beaches
